AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police say a man robbed an east Austin convenience store, armed with an Uzi .
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. at the Shopper's Mart at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and Chicon Street.
Witnesses say a bandana hid the man's face. He was seen wearing a green hat, blue jacket, jeans and dark sunglasses.
The suspect ran out of the store and ran south towards a drainage ditch.
Several police units and a helicopter searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
