Schertz man sentenced for pornography

SCHERTZ, Texas (KXAN) - A Schertz man has been sentenced to 324 months in a federal prison and 25 years of supervised release.

US Attorney John E. Murphy told KXAN Austin News 38-year-old Burton Joseph DeLaGarza plead guilty to the charge of “Production of Child Pornography” on September 2nd.

DeLaGarza admitted on several occasions between February of 2006 and September of 2007 he produced videos?of minor females engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

FBI agents arrested DeLaGarza on October 15th of 2009, after discovering the pornography on his home computer. DelaGarza has remained in Federal custody since.

Officials with the FBI’s Project Safe Childhood along with the Schertz Police department worked together on the case.
