TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS (KXAN) - The Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal accident that happened Sunday morning in northeastern Travis County.
DPS says the driver, Andrew Kapcia, 21 of Pflugerville, was killed in the single-vehicle accident.
The wreck happened just before 4 a.m. on Cameron Rd. near Cele Rd. in Manor.
Investigators determined that the 1997 Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on Cameron Rd. when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Kapcia was pronounced dead on the scene.
DPS says that one passenger was on board that suffered injuries. EMS transported the passenger to Brackenridge hospital, suffering from lacerations. The passenger is?listed in stable condition.
Officials say that Kapcia was not wearing a seatbelt and could not determine if the passenger was wearing one.
