ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) - After a five-month search, the Round Rock City Council picked Steve Norwood of Prescott, Arizona as its next City Manager.

Norwood is set to replace Jim Nuse. In June, Nuse announced his plans to retire.

The council is set to vote on Norwood's contract in its December 2 meeting.

Norwood has been the city manager in Prescott since 2003. Before that he was City Manager in several Texas cities. He holds degrees from UT Arlington and Sam Houston State University.
