What Is Hcg And How Does It Promote Weight Loss?

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or hCG, is a natural water-based protein hormone that develops in the body of a woman shortly after conception. Often called the pregnancy hormone, hCG levels in urine and blood can be tested and are used to confirm pregnancy. The purpose of the hCG hormone during pregnancy is to encourage the production of progesterone, which aids in thickening the lining of the uterus to give the fetus a safe place to grow. The development of the hCG hormone during pregnancy also helps to prevent the body from rejecting the new tissue. hCG also ensures that the developing fetus has all of the nutrients it needs to survive and grow by encouraging the body to release excess stores in fat cells.

The function hCG has on the human body in encouraging the release of excess fat storage has been a remarkable breakthrough in weight loss for the seriously overweight. It literally seems to work like a laser, pinpointing and dissolving fat storage so that the cells shrink to normal size, without any side effects common with other weight loss treatments like increased heart rates or nervousness.? Several studies have shown that hCG, when injected into male or female patients, encourages the body to preserve lean muscle but burn fat. When combined with a reduced calorie diet and stretching exercises, weight loss might exceed up to a pound a day, and because of the way the hormone works, patients do not experience hunger or loss of energy while on the treatment.

hCG weight loss treatments have allowed seriously overweight and obese patients to achieve a significant amount of weight loss quickly and safely without having to endure the risk, complication, and recovery time of invasive surgery. Complications range from GERD, to infection, to additional surgery and occur with regularity in more invasive weight loss treatment, but hCG is delivered by injection. Often, patients can lose up to 40 pounds or more in the first month of treatment, and the benefits do not diminish with additional treatment cycles. With such significant weight loss, many seriously overweight patients are able to reduce or stop taking medicines for high blood pressure and diabetes.

More importantly, the significant weight loss in the seriously overweight is fat loss, not lean muscle loss, so metabolism is not diminished in the process. Many overweight patients who seek hCG treatment achieve health benefits that extend beyond losing weight; cholesterol levels and blood pressure are often significantly reduced.

Because the results occur more quickly than with traditional methods of diet and exercise, the overweight patient receiving hCG weight loss treatment is motivated to continue exercising and changing lifestyle habits because they are immediately rewarded with visible results. Many overweight patients who have tried different diets and weight loss plans see hCG treatment as a final attempt at preventing invasive surgery. With complications occurring in as many as 1/3 of all weight loss surgery patients, hCG is an effective and safe alternative for the overweight and obese to be able to take control of their health.

Five Ways to Cut your Health Insurance Costs

Nearly one-third of all health-insurance premiums increased to 30 percent or more. At that rate, the average cost of health insurance per employee will exceed ,000. Seventy-three percent of senior executives believe health-care costs will continue to increase 20 percent or more each year for the next three years. The message here is clear: If you haven’t already gotten serious about cutting your company’s health-insurance costs, now is the time. It can be done. The first thing you should do is learn how the system works–or doesn’t work. Most small employers spend fewer than four hours a year thinking about their company health plans. Learn what your options are. Your insurance agent can help you shop for cheaper plans. But don’t stop there. Compare plan benefits, insurance-company records, and service guarantees.

Consider Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans and HMOs (health-maintenance organizations), even if your agent doesn’t handle them. The Blues in some areas, offer clear advantages to small companies. Experts regard HMOs as the best buys in health care. Find out if your company is eligible for new, low-cost health insurance plans now available in five states. In addition, foundation-funded pilot projects in several parts of the country are demonstrating that it is possible to cut health-coverage costs 30 to 40 percent. In short, health insurance isn’t as simple as it used to be. And the pace of change is accelerating, offering new hope for a truce in the business battle with exploding health-care costs. The next couple of years present as much potential for change as at any time in the past 20 years. You can be part of that change by putting at least some of the following 5 ideas to work for your company.

1) Increase Cost Sharing By Employees

This recommendation is at the top of every consultant’s list. Small companies tend to pay far more of their workers’ total health-care bill than large companies do. Yet research shows that insulating employees from the costs of care encourages unnecessary use of health services. Fifty-two percent of the companies responding to the Nation’s Business health survey said they pay 100 percent of their employees’ health-insurance premiums. But 45 percent said they intended to implement or increase employee contributions to these premiums. An equal number said they plan to increase employee deductibles. Insurance companies first attached 0 deductibles to major-medical plans in the early 1950s. But 40 percent of employers still set deductibles at 0 or less. Raising a 0 deductible to 0 would cut premium costs for single coverage by about 11 percent. A 0 deductible would cut costs by about one-fourth. A ,000 deductible would save about one-third.

2) Allow Employees To Pay For Health Premiums With Tax-Free Dollars

Set up a so-called flexible spending account, which allows your employees to pay their share of health-insurance premiums and un-reimbursed health-care expenses with pretax dollars. A flexible spending account could save employees 20 cents to 35 cents on the dollar, because state and federal income taxes and Social Security taxes are not imposed.

Moreover, the company saves by reducing the employee’s base salary on which it pays Social Security and other taxes. Hire an outside payroll accounting firm to handle the paperwork. You can pay the service fee and still come out with a net savings. The monthly administration fee would run between and per employee.

3) Transfer High-Risk Employees To The State’s High-Risk Pool

Insurance premiums soar whenever someone in a small-group plan becomes very ill–with cancer or heart disease, for example. As an employer, you should explore the possibility of moving employees with serious health problems into a state high-risk pool and then negotiating a lower premium for the healthy members of your group.

4) Switches To An Open-Enrollment Blue Cross And Blue Shield Plan

Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans operate as de facto high-risk pools in a number of states by providing “open enrollment” periods during which any group can buy insurance. Among the 74 Blue Cross and Blue Shield organizations nationwide, 21 offer open enrollment. All the Blues once used community rating to set premium levels. But that began to change in the 1960s when commercial insurers started to lure away firms with low risks by offering them cheaper health insurance.

5) Replace Your Traditional Health Plan With An HMO

Unlike traditional health insurance, HMOs cover all medical needs, including routine preventive care, for a flat monthly fee that typically is less expensive than traditional health insurance. Moreover, two types of HMOs, the staff and the group models, have proven to be more effective at controlling costs than any other form of health-care delivery. Staff models employ physicians directly and put them on salary.

Art, soup, live music and charity

Published : Sunday, 21 Nov 2010, 7:24 PM CST

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Austin Empty Bowl Project was the first of its kind in Texas.

People started lining up as early as 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning to grab some of the 53,000 of the artsy bowls crafted in every way from soup to nuts... for soup. About 250 gallons of soup made by 30 area chefs filled the bowls.

One Liberty Hill woman admitted that she made the trip to the Mexican American Cultural Center for the bowls.

"Actually I'm being selfish. This is my Christmas present to me." said Helen Moore of Liberty Hill.

Moore is also keenly aware that buying bowls decorated by local artisans and school kids means she is participating in a more selfless act.

The project has been changing lives since 1997 in ways that only Austin can: through art, good food and music.

"You've got a whole convergence here of potters, musicians, artists, the artisans who are actually making the soups themselves all coming together." said John Turner Director of Marketing for the Capital Area Food Bank.

This is the 14th annual Empty Bowl Project . Last year's event brought in 2,000 people and more than $71,000 for their cause.

Preliminarily, this year is shaping up to top that. The food bank says each $15 bowl sold provides 45 meals for hungry Texas kids.

"I think it's a good way to start the holiday season... giving back to the community." said Moore.

KYLE, TX (KXAN) - The arrest comes amid an investigation into the injury of a 10-week-old child at the day care.

Officers arrested 31 year-old Christina Lyons on Friday. She owns the Little Lyons Cub Day Care in Kyle.

Emergency crews took the 10-week-old from the day care on Thursday. The child is being treated at Dell Children's Hospital for head injuries.

Lyons was released on bond Saturday.

Investigators say the information Lyons gave them about how the child was hurt does not match the injuries the child suffered.

Small Business Loan Programs – New Business Guide to Bill?

Issued at the end of September, the president of Congress, presumably the old Obama has the right loan to help a small business loan programs and small businesses. The law that the enthusiasm from the Republicans did while with the competition of the year large, it was a down drastically scaled-down version of a draft law in early 2010.

The companies real question is whether this law really helping small to obtain the working capital they need? In the theory ofAccount feeds loans to small businesses through the Small Business Administration guaranteed loan programs. Normally, these programs guarantee somewhere between 50-70% of small businesses against the default of the bank, the loan is loans. The new law increases the guarantee to 90% in some cases, in theory, reduce the risk of default and put community banks in a better position to take on such loans.

However, help, whether thator not is controversial. The problem is not that the banks to lend capital. With all the incentives the government, which was addressed to the banking system, financial institutions are flush with cash. The problem is really one of perception, attitude and real facts. While the loans were three years ago, the banks, with little attention to the risk of betting and the poor, who have now been resolved, apparently from the harsh realities and Standard bank failures in the past chastisedYears. This is a classic stalemate "situation" in which each of the big banks, community banks, businesses and consumer habits are waiting to see that spending make the first move in and start to dissolve the approval requirements credit.

Similarly, companies are waiting to whether consumers feel safe enough to sell to the purchase of goods and services that their companies have. Consumers are waiting to see if it will stabilize employmentenough to start spending. wait so in the meantime continue at all, and the uncertainty runs. Unfortunately, "small business" bill that would fully address this perception.

Facilitation programs use small business loans and less risky for banks to borrow in order is one thing, but the government can not force banks to do business, loans. Added the fact is that banks are increasingly worried about strict regulation which was imposed after the financial crisis, fears that even a small upward trend in the management of default lead federal regulators are sitting in their offices for months to sift through every detail of the operations in an effort to find fault or bad.

The bill also includes a series of targeted tax breaks for small businesses, especially the workers is to reduce taxes on wages for new hires, the possibility of alternative minimum taxService firms make R & D tax credits and tax breaks for owners of restaurants and other small businesses wanted to go further, to renovate or build. Of course, tax cuts are always welcome, but in this case, are only true if you plan to recruit more companies to spend money, developing or doing R & D

Small Business Loan Programs are not scarce. What is scarce is the customer always right amount ofapproved for these programs a reality for small businesses looking for Working Capital. Until changes in the perception of risk to consumers, this will alleviate a difficult problem, no matter how many pieces of legislation passed
